When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. The retention phase lasts for a minimum of 12 months. Our office offers clear retainers that can be used as bleaching trays, traditional acrylic and wire retainers and permanent retainers that are cemented to the back of your teeth. When it comes time for the removal of your braces, our staff will discuss which type of retainer best fits your needs.
Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far. Always remember to follow all instructions for retainer wear and maintenance. If your retainer is lost or broken, contact our office immediately to make an appointment to replace the retainer.
